Add/Drop and Withdrawal

Adding or Dropping Courses

Students must add or drop a course by the deadline stated in the Academic Calendar. Add/Drop period is generally the first week of the term. If you do not drop a course by this deadline, you will need to Withdraw from the course and will be responsible for the tuition and fees.

Add/Drop must be completed via your academic advisor.

Withdrawing from a Course

In order to terminate a course after the Add/Drop period, you must officially Withdraw from the course. Students may Withdraw from a course without academic penalty before the deadline stated in the Academic Calendar. The deadline is typically before the Final-Term exams.

You may Withdraw from a course in person using the Official Withdrawal Form, available at the Office of the Registrar. You must obtain permission from your course teacher and your academic advisor.
Withdrawing from a course does not release a student from financial responsibility or obligation for the course.

If you stop attending class, it is your responsibility to withdraw from the course. You will not be automatically withdrawn from the course! Failure to withdraw before the deadline results in a grade of ‘F’. A grade of ‘W’ is recorded on the student’s record for official withdrawals.
